Nigeria and Germany have signed a deal to supply more gas, including $500m in renewable energy investments. The deal was signed at a Berlin business forum between the Riverside LNG project in the Niger Delta and German company Johannes Schuetze Energy Import. The project aims to supply energy from Nigeria to Germany at a rate of 850,000 tonnes per annum, with potential expansion to 1.2 million tonnes per annum. Germany is also in talks with Siemens to help Nigeria improve its electricity supply.
